Frankenstein Computer Activities

Today, you'll begin working on a Frankenstein project in pairs or groups of three. You can choose any of the projects below:

1) 'Wanted' Poster

 

Make a wanted poster for Frankenstein's monster. Use information from the book and Google searches to describe the creatures appearance and personality. Include a picture.

2) An Interview With Victor Frankenstein

Imagine that you are interviewing Victor Frankenstein while he is still making his creature. Ask him questions about his work and what he is doing. You could begin by asking him questions about his family and where he is from.

3) Comic Strip

Make a short comic strip (6 pictures or less) about the story of Frankenstein so far. If would like to, you can print the words and design from the computer and draw the pictures by hand.

Essay Planning

Good morning students!

Today, we're going to quickly look at planning an essay.

1) Go to this website.
2) Where it says "Your Name", write your nickname and number.
3) For "Topic", please choose one of these statements about things we have studied since the mid-term:

• My favourite memories.
• I am a happy person.
• We can't be happy all the time.
• English is difficult to learn.
• Parents should be nicer to teenagers.
• Teenagers should be nicer to parents.
• Fashion is important.
• Fashion is not important.

4) Write a short introduction for your essay. Include your argument. 

e.g. "I have many happy memories from my life. Here are some of my favourite memories."

5) Choose 3 main ideas that you could talk about for your topic. You don't have to write too much information! Write only a few words. 

e.g. "Family holiday", "My pet", "My first Songkran"

6) Write three supporting sentences for each idea. 

e.g. "When I was 8, I went on a holiday with my family."

       "We went to the beach."

       "I remember swimming in the sea, and making sandcastles with my parents."

7) Write a short conclusion to finish the essay plan.

e.g. "I have many happy memories from my life. I am grateful for all the good experiences thatI have had."
