The Core exam will take place on Wednesday 14th December, from 2:30-3:30.
These are the grammar/vocab points that will be on the core test:
- Will/won't for predictions (textbook: p. 44, workbook: p. 37)
I won't be late to school tomorrow.
He won't remember to call back.
- Will/won't for decisions, offers, and promises (textbook: p. 46, workbook: p. 39)
I will try harder at school. (Decision, something you have decided you will do)
I'll get you some medicine from the store, if you like? (Offer, something you offer to do to help somebody else)
I'll never forget about you. I promise. (Promise, something you will absolutely do)

- Adjectives + prepositions (textbook: p. 49, workbook: p. 42)
"I'm kind to all animals.", "She's really good at coding."
- Opposite verbs (textbook: p. 157, 44 workbook: p. 37)
open/close, teach/learn

"He'll call you back later, is that ok?"

Past/Present/Future/Perfect
As well as all this grammar and vocab, the test also has questions about these two topics from Unit 6 of English File:
- Optimists and Pessimists
You'll have to define what these terms mean, and give examples of optimistic and pessimistic thoughts.
- Dreams and their Meanings
You will read a short article about the meaning of dreams, then answer questions about what you have just read.
