 Ghost story<earth>

Five years ago my family went to Chiang Rai. we had a party for Chrismas and New Year . But bettawen the house is a crematory in the dark. I can't see it very well and it looks scary.
My mom told me to get the bag from the car for her.
But, outside it was very dark, so I ran fast to get the bag and go back to the house. We celebrated until 11 p.m . After wards I went to take shower and go to bed. At 12.30 p.m. I was asleep when I heard the phone rings. My mom answered the phone . It was my aunt calling. A few minuten later I felt that someone was standing near the bed and walking toward my head . I couldn’t move for a moment. I was very scared and prayed to the Budesa. After that it disappeared .

In the morning , when we come back the Chiang Mai , I told my mom that I saw thing strange. So my mom prayed to the budesa to forgive it. And asked that it go to a nice place.

My Procrasination

   My Procrastination
Sometimes, we just don’t want to do something. So we end up saying      “oh, tomorrow is okay” in many situations. I know that everyone has their own bad habits, and I think procrastination is one of the most annoying. Everyone might have procrastinated on something before, like when we put off an important task to do something else that’s more fun or easier. However, as it is called a bad habit, it’s not always enjoyable to procrastinate.
Procrastination means to put off things that you should be focusing on or need to be done right now. This has happened to me many times. I always feel like waiting for the perfect moment to begin to do something. I’m not the kind of person that can do a task immediately when I don’t feel like doing it. I think there are a lot of things to do out there except important work. For example, I always hand in my homework just before the deadline, though I know I should have done it a long time ago. As an example, I’ve wanted to start my diet because I’ve gained some weight over the last two months. I decided to eat only veggies and work out since then, but I still haven’t done anything in particular.
For a procrastinator like me, sometimes the procrastination can be useful.
It helps me to relax, because it’s easy and fun. On the other hand, it’s a really bad habit that can bring a lot disadvantages. When deadlines are approaching, I often waste time by doing other things and postpone all the work. However, I will have to do that work eventually, so I always end up doing it at the last minute. After that, I will be nervous, frustrated with myself and everything around me. It also affects the quality of my work. It will come out rough or not as well as my other work. This reminds me of the phrase “lazy folks take most pains.”
Procrastination has a bad effect on your work, and yourself. It is dangerous if you let it consume you. If you procrastinate, you won’t learn how to discipline yourself and may become a real procrastinator. It would be great if you can get over procrastination and create a new you! First, you must know about yourself and your problem. It can help you to understand the causes of procrastination, so it would be easier to fix. Second, quit being lazy and give yourself some motivation. Third, you should just start doing it. Focus on starting and go to work. Once you have started to do your work, you’ll eventually finish the task.

When you procrastinate, a lot of bad things can affect both yourself and your work. You fool yourself by thinking up reasons to wait and put off the work you ought to be doing. Procrastination is a thief that steals our precious time while we’re wasting it on something that doesn’t make sense. We just have to know why we procrastinate, quit being lazy, give yourself motivation, and just do it!

Test Taking Tips

Greetings everybody! With the final exams soon approaching, I wanted to give you some advice and tips about how to do exams and give yourself the best chance of getting a good score.

Always answer multiple choice questions- never leave them blank!

Read the question carefully. If it says that you must write in sentences, then do it! You'll lose points if you don't even try. Similarly, if the question asks you "why" ("Who is your biggest hero, and why?"), make sure you give your opinion! Half an answer = half the points.

Look through all the exam at the very beginning to get an idea of what sections will be more difficult/time-consuming. Do the sections that you are confident with first.

Seriously, always answer multiple choice questions. Never leave them blank!

You might want to answer multiple choice questions first. This is for two reasons:
1) These are the quickest questions to answer.
2) If you run out of time at the end, it's better to finish an essay half-way rather than leave an entire page of multiple choice questions unanswered.

Look at the number of points for each section. In NP and SEEK exams, the total number of points for the section/page will be written at the top. Think about doing these sections first! For example, if the multiple choice section of the exam is worth 20 points, but the long essay section is only worth 10, then do the easier questions first to get the points 'in the bank'.

If you are allowed to use a dictionary, be careful that you don't spend too much time looking up every single word! Use the dictionary only when you have to.

On multiple choice questions, answers B and C are more likely. This is because people who write tests are less likely to put the correct answer as A (because these come first and they think people might not read all the options properly), and also less likely to choose D (because it's at the end and they think people will ignore it). It's not a huge difference, but if you really don't know then you should probably choose B or C and use it for every question!

One last time- always answer multiple choice questions and never leave them blank!

Final Exam Practice Quizzes & Reflections

Good morning students!

Firstly, for practice go to this quiz on the active or passive voice. Under each question, you can click "Answer" to see the correct answer. After you have enough practice, you can do this quiz here and get your score!

Here is a quiz to review the grammar from Unit 7. At the end of the quiz, you'll be able to see your score.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, I'd like you to think and write about your favourite thing that we've done this year. Next week you'll do a longer multiple choice form to talk in detail about the things that you did (or didn't) like about our class, but today I'd just like you to say what your favourite thing was from this year.

You can look back at the blog to get some ideas, or talk with your friends about the things you enjoyed. Maybe you enjoyed:

Frankenstein?
The Practical English drama?
The Hour of Code?

Or maybe just learning English with your friends?
After you've got something in mind, please go to the Padlet website to write up your idea. You might need to sign up with your class Gmail account. Remember to add an image or YouTube video to illustrate your writing!

Useless and Stupid Inventions

Here are some infuriating useless inventions. Below are some inventions which aren't exactly useless, but are impractical, uncomfortable, or just plain stupid!

Now, I'd like you to design your own useless or stupid invention! On A4 paper, I'd like you to draw a colour picture of your invention, and label/describe it in English:
  • What is your invention called?
  • What parts does it have?
  • What is made of?
  • What "problem" is it "solving"?

Happiness

This week, we're going to look at the topic of happiness. What exactly is happiness anyway, and how can we 'be happy'?

First, I'd like you to take this online questionnaire about happiness. There are 29 questions, so take your time when answering. When you have finished, click "Submit" and look at your score.

Once you have your score, I'd like you to read the information at the bottom of the quiz and think about why you got this score. Is there perhaps something you could do differently in your life? Or, if you are already happy, how would you help somebody else to feel better about themselves?

Infinitives, 'How to', and Dating Advice

Infinitives

Next lesson, we are going to look at infinitives. Check what you know already with these quizzes: click here for the 1st quiz, and click here for the 2nd quiz.

'How to'

We often use 'How to' guides to help us do new or difficult things. Please read this 'How to' article about giving good speeches, then answer this quiz about the information.

Dating Advice

Lastly, you're going to write advice for someone going on a first date. Give five pieces of advice (e.g. You need to.../You should.../Make sure you...), and don't forget to say why.

e.g.: 1) You should try to show up on time. If you're late, then your date might think that you don't really care about them.

To write your dating advice, please sign-in to your Gmail account and leave a comment on this post. Cheers!

Bam's New Year's resolution

Related image

My New Year's resolution is to go to bed earlier than before! I chose this resolution because I am a night owl and I have been going to bed really late since grade 7.  Last year(2016) I went to see the doctor and I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Doctor told me that's because of my less sleep!
The problem is, I always play on my smart phone or laptop, surfing the internet before going to bed everyday and I usually end up sleep at 1 or 2 am almost everyday! I know that I spent too much time wasting on the social media and the internet, so I plan to control myself and set time for my smart phone and laptop. I plan to play a smart phone only 20-30 minutes before dinner and try to go to bed before 11 pm.
I've already started this plan on January 1 and still working hard on it!
I'm sure I can do it, even if I can't avoid playing on my smart phone or laptop, at least I will go to sleep early! I will make this a huge success of mine! ♥

This year my New year's resolution is do more exercise. I want to get healthy. Exercise is very important. If we do more exercise, we will be stronger. I will have to find time for exercise, because I spend a lot of my time doing homework and studying, so I don't have time to do exercise. I will do homework at school, and when I get back home I will run. I will start doing this this month. I think I'll succeed with my resolution because I want to be a healthy person.

NN's New Year's resolution

My new year's resolution is to change my personality to be more confident. This is because I am always afraid to do anything by myself. Instead, I will trust myself and
my ideas, and think more positively. I will start to do this resolution today (05/01/17)
and I think I will succeed one day in the future!

I really hope that I can achieve this goal, because I'm tired of being scolded that I'm lazy😒. I want to prove to everyone that I can improve myself. I don't care if anyone says it's impossible, but I will try my best to overcome the obstacles standing in my way. I encourage you to try your best to also achieve your goals for this year, to make your life better. #kisskisshughug

I want to study harder because my grades in the midterm were not great. I'll learn more about Biology,Chemistry,Physics and many subjects. I will achieve good grades in the finals because if I study hard I believe I can pass the exams.

My New Year's Resolution

This year, my New Year's resolution is to read more books. I used to read a lot when I was younger, but last year I was busy and didn't make time for reading. I'd often play Playstation 4 games or watch Netflix instead. Last year, I think I only read four or five books for pleasure. This year, I will read more!

I will achieve my resolution by making time for reading. I will read every day for an hour before I go to bed, and make it part of my routine. If I go out somewhere, I will take a book with me and read instead of playing on my phone.

I think I'll succeed with my resolution because reading is something that I enjoy doing. Although I might struggle to keep a diet going or maintain an exercise regime, I love to read- I just never made enough time for it before. My resolution is already off to a good start. I started reading a book over Christmas and I finished it last night!
